Hanging with Booker

There is no rest period for me it seems. But it's all good.

I was in Seattle on Saturday with 70-80 other traders hanging out at the Rob Booker/InterbankFX event at the Waterfront Marriott.

Met some great people there - even some Trading Post and old FXT folks.

TP Coach Nikhil Patel was there and mentioned that Rob has been trading seven years. If you're distracted by the Booker antics, which more than anything are uniquely him, you'll be impressed by the fact that there is substance behind his methods. He pushes himself to keep improving.

Rob fashions himself as more of a researcher than a trader. What he has done and continues to do is push his boundaries. If there is anything that can be learned by any wannabe trader is Rob's approach. Good is never good enough. Don't settle and just rely on "experts" to show you the "way." You have to create the way and stay hungry to continually get better and evolve.

Through it, you have the potential, without the funny jackets and amusing Powerpoints, to be a more successful trader than Rob.

Another point is that Rob has the same type of philosophy I do. Share, and share liberally. Why withhold? We can all help each other be better by working together.

We're in the midst of creating a free resources section at Trading Post, and hopefully we'll be able to liberally share all that Rob has in his Free section.

It was fun and it was great to see everyone. I don't know where the next few months will take me - but I know that I've booked myself to next roam the floor of the New York Forex Expo in February.
